I started my educational career in the classroom in 2000, where I taught High School Chemistry and Biology. I then accepted the position of Dean of Students during the 2007-08 school year. After a year in administration I took over the role of House Principal and Associate Principal at another High School from 2008 - 2015. In August of 2015, I took on the role of Principal of the Middle School in the same district. I live nearby with my wife is a 3rd grade teacher and two children that keep us busy with soccer, swimming, Cub Scouts and 4H.
I am a 2003 graduate of Baldwin Wallace with a degree in Early Childhood Education and Special Education. I graduated from Baldwin Wallace with a masters in Educational Technology in 2007. In 2014, I completed another masters degree in Leadership with Principal Licensure from Concordia University of Chicago.
My teaching career started at Sidney Fenn Elementary where I taught kindergarten, first and third grade and then went to third grade at Ralph E. Waite Elementary. I became the Associate Principal at A.I. Root Middle School in 2013.
First year associate principal at Claggett Middle School in the Medina City School District. Before this I have been a teacher for 11 years and have taught middle school Social Studies.

This is my third year as an assistant principal, two being at the middle level, and one at the elementary level. I also have one year as a curriculum director. Prior to entering administration, 8 taught forb15 years as a Title Interventioist and 4th grade teacher.
I participated in the teacher's union for 10 of those years, being an executive board member, Vice President and President of the local. This gives me a unique perspective when dealing with situations that may encounter some push-back.
